Portraits of Tourism
Tourism fascinates me. There is at once deep anonymity in the act of travelling while also often being an advertisement of the outsider. One of my favourite part of my own travels is witnessing those around me doing the same. How to they document, appreciate, exploit or otherwise experience that around them. And how does the grandiose act of being a ‘traveller’ get manipulated to the consumable, mundane and temporary. In this I am both participant and observer.
